Chemical water treatment services

With our levels of experience and expertise, we are able to survey, assess and offer the right water treatment for any type of system in accordance with all relevant regulations.

Steam boilers and water heaters

Corrosion and scale can effect this kind of equipment the most. A full survey will be carried out in accordance with BS2486; 1997, and a chemical programme will be recommended.

This could include:

  • Oxygen scavengers
  • Scale inhibitors
  • Sludge dispersants
  • Anti-corrosion additives
  • Anti-foaming agents

We will also make recommendations regarding your systems and can supply and service pre-treatment plant such as de-mineralisers and water softeners and plant and equipment such as dosing pumps and controllers.

Closed circuits

This term covers a range of systems which is vast in both scale (running from standard domestic systems to large-scale industrial systems) and type.

We offer a complete range of services for these systems:

    • Pre-commission cleaning and renovation
    • Pre-treatment equipment (de-mineralisers and reverse osmosis equipment)
    • Dosing equipment
    • Side stream filtration units
    • Anti-corrosion agents (specific to the materials)
    • Anti-scale and anti-sludge agents
    • Biocides including pseudonomad control

      Miscellaneous systems

We can devise a safe and effective treatment programme for any water system as the principles remain the same across the board and depend on the materials used, the use of the water, the temperature of the water and types of pump involved among other factors.

We can provide treatment programmes for:

      • Whirlpools and hot tubs (often poorly maintained and therefore easily infected by legionella)
      • Water features (which children may play in in the summer months)
      • Fire suppression systems (which may lie stagnant for some time)
      • Humidification equipment (such as saunas)
      • Swimming pools

      Pre-commission pipework cleaning

It is easy for new builds or renovated properties will to leave their water systems filled with impurities such as millscale, building debris or joint sealants. These contaminants can lead to problems with the system such as blockage or the build up of contaminants inside the pipes.

Our specialists are trained to flush, clean and dose the system ready for use in accordance with BSRIA Application Guide AG 1/2001 and this process can be applied to for both first time use, or renovated properties.
